About
About Long Island Cesspool Experts
Long Island Cesspool Experts helps Suffolk and Nassau homeowners replace old cesspools, with honest price ranges and plain-English explanations of the County, State and town grant rules up front, and licensed installers to do the work.
Who does the work
Every job is done by a licensed Long Island installer from our partner network. For Suffolk grant-funded jobs, that's always an installer on the County's SIP-Approved Installer List. You get a written quote, you decide, and you pay the installer directly. There's no charge to you for using this site. We're a private company, not a government program, so we can't approve or speed up a grant.
What we require of installers
- A current Suffolk County liquid waste license with the right endorsements (conventional and/or I/A installation), or a Nassau County Home Improvement Contractor license for Nassau work.
- For Suffolk grant-funded jobs: a place on the County's SIP-Approved Installer List.
- General liability and workers' compensation insurance.
- Written, itemized quotes that say what's included: design, permits, abandonment of the old system, electrical, restoration.
Editorial standards
Our guides are written and maintained by the LI Cesspool Experts Editorial Team.
- Prices are ranges, not quotes. They come from published 2026 data, cited on each page, and will be refined with real job data from installers.
- Grant figures and rules link to the source. They're summarized from Suffolk County, Nassau County, New York State and town program documents, with the date we checked them, and anything from a secondary or older source is flagged. Programs change, so confirm with the program before you rely on a number.
- No fake reviews, photos or credentials. We don't publish testimonials unless they come from real customers, and we don't show other companies' job photos as ours.
- Dated and updated. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
